Eduhire.me looks like an incomplete website. Affiliate marketers can choose to promote both online and physical products. Our only recommendation is that these products need to be related or in the same niche. That makes it easier to promote not just the products, but the website itself.
The “reviews” are usually just made up and based on no personal experience in order to net an affiliate commission, which can actually get you sued as some mattress affiliate site owners found out recently.
The next two items were things I promoted but the next 8 were things that people bought in number by themselves without me promoting them at all. To me, knowing which items people buy without my prompting is GOLD!
Good comment Jason, at some time in the future Amazon may decide they have so much market share they don’t need affiliates anyway. I mean, if you’re just sending them people who are already Amazon customers there’s not so much benefit there for them. Or they may decide to only work with select HIGH QUALITY affiliates and the average “affiliate site” owner will not be chosen.

I stumble upon a roadblock signing up as an affiliate for Amazon. On step 3 they ask for a number for verification. They are restricted from making calls to the Phils for verification. I thought of using a Google voice number (US based). Will that help? I don’t want to try until I am sure for fear of getting rejected even before I start. Or what do you suggest? I tried a live chat with Amazon and all the CS said was yeah no call verification for a Philippine number. appreciate your help. Thank you.
Keep an eye out for these kinds of promotions because they can be well worth promoting (if relevant to your readership). In fact, last time Amazon had cameras on special, I promoted the sale to my newsletter readers and had readers emailing me to thank me for letting them know about it.
And you’re right why go to an affiliate site when most of them tell you nothing new. They just list features and pro’s and con’s and then usually give a biased recommendation that you purchase the highest price product they get the most commission for…and they’ve never actually used the product anyway!
Let’s start with the first scenario above. Suppose an affiliate is generating $100,000 in monthly revenue for a merchant, and getting $25,000 in monthly commissions. In this case, the network between the two may be taking $10,000 a month for its part in the process. Again, if you decide to promote physical products, try to find high-quality, high-value, specialized or unique products that your audience will appreciate — mediocre or poor-quality products will reflect badly on you.
Start with a blog, where your content is always available. By itself, an email list can be hard to start if there’s not a place (like your blog or website) where potential subscribers can get to know you first.
Reach out to the affiliate manager. Most programs have at least one person tasked with managing affiliates. Don’t spam, don’t whine and don’t badger them, but make a personal connection with them if you can.
In fact, a few of our readers tell me that if they’re going to make some kind of purchase at Amazon that they always come to DPS to click on one of our links to do so! Transparency isn’t as scary as you might think (although this might depend upon your audience a little).
I recently wrote up some research I’ve recently completed where I took the income and traffic from over 100 sites and worked out the RPM for each site. The Median RPM (I removed the top and bottom 20% of sites) for Affiliate marketing was $155.14 which compared well against Adsense at $9.97.
Create a blog and create tons of content related to your niche. You don’t (nor shouldnt) sell affiliate offers in every piece of content. Ideally, you want to aim for a content to promotion ration of 5:1. This is what Google is looking for. Always keep Google happy.
